Cape Cod Lighthouses Trip. Part 2

Updated: Sep 21, 2018

Our next stop was Provincetown. We didn’t plan a long visit but seeing towering Pilgrims Monument was definitely on our list.

if anyone wants me the point out how to find a pond , let me know

Suddenly, we saw something between the bushes while passing by. Water lilies pond! I never saw it in the wild. Of course I saw it in Botanical Garden or Arboretum but not like this. I was charmed by this place, it was a magical!

Passing by Famous Cape Cod Sand Dunes. Provincetown has Arts Dune Tour, i think i wish to be back just for that reason alone.

We are in Provincetown.

My boys went for a city walk with us and have a cute meet up with another corgi. Both of them are so brave and protective to bark from balcony but in really they decided that meeting other dogs is not for them.

The Pilgrim Monument in Provincetown, Massachusetts, was built between 1907 and 1910, to commemorate the first landfall of the Pilgrims in 1620, and the signing of the Mayflower Compact in Provincetown Harbor. (Wikipedia}

Last time I visited this tower I’ve experienced for the first-time what vertigo is! Never feared heights before and still don't, but I took one picture of the stairs that changed my visual perspective. My head started spinning and heart was ready to jump out of me. I felt like I was dying. I couldn’t apprehend the direction to look where is down and where is up. What scared me the most is that I couldn’t control my body or emotions at all. Can’t even explain what I was feared of! I literally crawled down the stairs. Don’t remember how long it took me to step down, but I was sitting outside for about 45 minutes trying to calm myself down and stop shaking.

This is my Vertigo image. I bet you can’t say it’s up or down

We didn’t stay too long in the city and decided to go check in to hotel that we’ve been smart enough to book day before . We learned from our mistake and not going to take a chance to find vacant room in Cape Cod on Labor Day weekend. And also it would not limit our visit, we could stay overnight and continue our lighthouse adventure next day

Couldn't miss the opportunity to dine in locally famous restaurant "Moby Dick's" so as many people. Restaurant was packed and busy. What was really great, they have take-out service. and we gladly ordered lobster rolls, fried calamari and grilled shrimps. Everything was really delicious!

Cheers!
