How did Sirin become my logo and talisman .

As much as I don't like to speak about myself I think I owe a little explanation what inspired me to create my Sirin Logo.

People always find my appearance exotic, it's old news for me. First I was put off by this word, didn't know how to react, how can I be exotic? I'm not a bird! Yes, I'm Eurasian and if definition of exotic is to be a product of mixed races genes than I’m ok with this. It's a little funny when others trying to figure it out- what I have in the mix: German, Irish , Mongolian? Ha-ha, none of those! I've been asked once what mix makes me a Hapa girl. When I calmed myself down and googled it, I found out that people use the term Hapa for girls with mixed racial heritage, specifically White and Asian and it's not a derogatory word nowadays, so I decided not to be offended by that and explained that I do have Asian blood in me along with Caucasian.

That being said, one day, my cousin and I were reading a story about mythical creatures and we were joking about our exotic status being mixed with our accent which makes us sound like chirping of exotic birds! We realized that we are those mythical creatures from overseas - Sirins! We should make Sirin as our talisman and use it as a logo! 😄 After all Sirins are Birds of Paradise and are the ones who symbolize Love,Peace and Happiness - who wouldn't want that?

A little explanation what a Sirin is from Wikipedia:

“Sirin is a mythological creature with the head and chest of a beautiful woman and the body of a bird.

Sirins or Sirens as Greek called them, usually portrayed wearing a crown or with a nimbus. They sang beautiful songs, foretelling future joys. Sirins symbolize world harmony as they live in Paradise. People in those times believed only happy people could hear a Sirin, while only very few could see one because she is as fast and difficult to catch as human happiness. She symbolizes eternal joy and heavenly happiness.”

We all struggle with everyday difficulties in our lives and I hope whenever you’ll see my Sirin symbol it will bring you peace and love, encourage and inspire you to find true happiness within yourself.

Cheers.
