An old French proverb states, “Only the vines that overlook the water are capable of producing wines of great quality.”
Every time I'm on the North Fork I was trying to visit Raphael but it always closed for private event. I don't blame people for wanting to be in there. This place seems has all quality you would expect from . Reminding me actually more of Napa Valley winery kind.
Today, winery was open!
Wow, factor started from a minute you stopped on the parking spot. I spend about 5 minute catching Theo who was thinking that any parking lot is opportunity for him to run freely. Since Raphael don't accept dogs in tasting room anymore we left him in the car. Don't you worry people - we specifically bought a car with fully open roof (and paid more of course ) for one reason only - Theo's comfort when he staying is in the car. Never for long - 30 minutes maximum.
Tasting room is amazing - all around has a view to die for. We cant wait to get back here again to spend here more time.
Chose tasting for Dessert wines and White ones.
I'm truly impressed by quality of wines, out of my tasting choices - first place goes to 2016 First Label Chardonnay - i would describe it as perfectly balanced, smooth, oaky, oily, and creamy
Natalie choice from Sweet wines list and by the way even i agree - is White Port ( no picture unfortunately) but we'll be back just for white port! Very interesting.
Went to check out outdoor space with the glass of white port - gorgeous view.
