One by one I’m falling in love with Diptyque creations. Now it’s time for Vetyverio.
Any perfume that contain vetiver guarantees my attention. I categorize my perfume choices «To have or not to have” by dividing them in two categories. The first is the one I immediately fall in love with and could buy it right on the spot. The other is the one that I like but not sure if my affection will last, so I’ll take my time with it.
For example, a week ago I ordered samples of new fragrances on the market from my favorite source Luckyscent.com I sorted the samples out and immediately put Diptyque Vetyverio in “must have” category. The other perfume I liked is The Purple Flower by Mancera. Rich and bold scent definitely got my attention, but I wasn’t in the rush to add it in “must have” collection. Returned in an hour to smell it again and only then understood what this fragrance reminded me of – Noir Premier Rose Royale 1935 by Lalique.
Another interesting fact is that I mostly love niche perfumes with unique, complexed, not immediately recognizable notes. This is what attracted me in Dyptique – I love it, but couldn’t break down immediately.
Vetyverio by Diptyque is very sensual fragrance. Very sexy. If I compared two of my favorite perfumes from Diptyque, I would say L’Ombre Dans L’eau is just like passionate lover, in your face kind, it’s pure sex. Vetyverio is more seductive kind of sexy.
My cousin and I, almost simultaneously said that we imagine warm night perhaps in Paris or New York, sophisticated seductress walking on the cobblestone street and her flapper dress is moving from side to side in slow motion, living traces of gorgeous, aphrodisiac scent behind her...
Would you follow her? Blame it on the perfume than.
